There is a fear of bears in Parsari village. Last Wednesday, a bear cub entered the populated area in search of food. When the bear put its mouth in a canister kept in a house in the village to eat something, its head could not come out of the canister. The bear kept roaming like this for hours.
Bear was freed and left in the forest
The villagers informed the forest department about this. As soon as the information was received, the forest department team reached the spot. The forest employees cut the canister and freed the bear cub and left it in the forest. According to Nanda Devi National Park’s Forest Range Officer Gaurav Negi, the age of the bear cub is said to be one year.
