Elections will be held on 20 December for 6 vacant seats of Rajya Sabha, Election Commission issued notification

The Election Commission has issued a notification on Monday for 6 vacant seats of Rajya Sabha. By-elections for the Upper House will be held on December 20 and the results will also be declared by evening or night on the same day. Let us tell you that these elections will be for Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal and Haryana.

Nomination process will start from December 3

According to the Election Commission, the nomination process for Rajya Sabha will start from December 3. Nominations can be made till December 10. Nominations will be scrutinized on December 11. Nominations can be withdrawn till December 13. The election will be held on December 20 from 9 am to 4 pm. Counting of votes will start from 5 pm.

Election on three seats in Andhra Pradesh

Let us tell you that the maximum number of seats are vacant in Andhra Pradesh. Rajya Sabha elections will be held on three seats here. Three MPs of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP, Venkataraman Rao Mopidevi, Bedha Mastan Rao Yadav and Rayaga Krishnaiah had resigned from the Rajya Sabha, due to which elections will be held for new members. Andhra Pradesh CM Chandra Babu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party can easily win these three seats.

Election on one seat in Odisha

Election will be held for one seat for Rajya Sabha in Odisha. BJP is likely to get this seat in the state. Because BJP has formed the government here with full majority for the first time.

Election on one seat in West Bengal

Jawahar government in West Bengal had resigned from the Rajya Sabha post. Mamta Banerjee can easily win this seat.

Election will be held on one seat from Haryana

Krishan Lal Pawar of the ruling BJP in Haryana recently resigned from the Rajya Sabha seat. BJP can easily win this seat.
