The decision he takes will be acceptable to all
After resigning, Deepak Kesarkar, a cabinet minister close to CM Shinde, told reporters that the Chief Minister has submitted his resignation. The Governor has asked him to work as the caretaker Chief Minister. In response to a question, Kesarkar said that the new government will take oath as soon as possible. When asked who will be the next Chief Minister, Kesarkar said that every political worker wants the Chief Minister to be from his party, but whatever decision Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah take, it will be acceptable to all of us. Apart from Kesarkar, Shinde Sena leader Shambhuraj Desai said that all of us Shiv Sainiks want that the new government should be formed under the leadership of the person under whose leadership the Mahayuti contested the elections. Some prominent members from our party met Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and he was apprised of the position of Shiv Sena.
Fadnavis ahead in the race
There has been no official announcement regarding the post of Chief Minister yet, but in the current situation Devendra Fadnavis is leading the race for the Chief Minister. Meanwhile, a statement by Union Minister Ramdas Athawale has heated up the political atmosphere. Taking his statement forward, Athawale said that BJP leaders say that since the number of their MLAs is more than double the number of MLAs of their alliance parties, BJP has the first right on the Chief Minister’s chair. BJP has given this message to Eknath Shinde. Athawale claims that the BJP high command has decided to make Devendra Fadnavis the Chief Minister.
