Karnataka: Tyre burst and car collided with a tree, IPS officer going for his first posting died, reason revealed
A tragic road accident has taken place in Hassan district of Karnataka. Police said on Monday that an IPS officer died in a road accident while going to his first posting in Hassan district. Police said that Harsh Bardhan, who was 20 years old. He was selected as a 2023 batch IPS officer of Karnataka cadre. He was a resident of Madhya Pradesh.

Police said the accident took place on Sunday evening, when the tire of the police vehicle burst near Kittane in Hassan taluk. After this the driver lost control and the vehicle collided with a roadside house and a tree.
Serious head injuries were suffered
According to the police, Harsh Bardhan was going to Hassan to report on duty as probationary Assistant Superintendent of Police in Holenarasipur. The police officer said that Harsh Bardhan suffered serious head injuries and died in the hospital during treatment, while the driver Manjegowda suffered minor injuries.
Completed IPS training just a month ago
The IPS officer had recently completed his IPS training at the Karnataka Police Academy in Mysore a month ago. This was his first job. He had secured 153rd rank in the UPSC exam. He also cleared the civil services exam in his first attempt, police said.
