7 month old girl brutalised in Kolkata, raped after kidnapping, then the culprit fled from the deserted place
A case of rape of a seven-month-old girl has come to light in Bartola area of Kolkata, West Bengal. The girl was sleeping on the footpath with her parents when she was kidnapped and raped. This incident happened last week. The police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and started investigation. No arrest has been made so far, although more than a dozen people have been questioned.
Scratches in many places on the body
This girl is still admitted in the Pediatric ICU of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. A hospital official said that the condition of the girl is now stable. The bleeding has stopped and she has started eating. We have formed a team of four doctors. Her condition should improve further in the next few days. The official said that there are scratches on many places on the girl’s body and there are injuries on her genitals as well.
The girl is undergoing treatment
On November 30, at around 1.45 pm, a resident of Bartola saw the girl crying alone on the footpath in front of his house. The man immediately informed the police. The girl’s parents tried hard to find her, but when she was not found, they also approached the police. After investigating both the reports, the girl was reunited with her parents. She was immediately rushed to R G Kar Medical College and Hospital. Doctors found that she had multiple injuries on her private parts and scratch marks all over her body. The police believe that the girl was raped.
