BJP’s BL Santosh on a two-day visit to Uttarakhand from today, will review the preparations for the civic elections
BJP’s National General Secretary Organization BL Santosh will review the preparations for the civic elections on Friday. He is arriving in Dehradun on a two-day visit to review the election preparations. During this, apart from the state team meeting, he will also hold discussions with the state leaders related to the civic elections.
According to State General Secretary Aditya Kothari, Santosh will reach the party headquarters tomorrow at 3:30 pm. He will first hold a meeting with all the district in-charges, co-in-charges and municipal corporation election in-charges. In the meeting, he will take information about the preparations for the election strategy of corporations, municipalities and Nagar Panchayats and will give necessary instructions on the related subject. After this, he will attend another important state team meeting between 7:30 and 9:00 pm.
State President Mahendra Bhatt, State In-charge Dushyant Gautam, Co-In-charge Rekha Verma, State General Secretary Organization Ajay Kumar, State Vice President Kuldeep Kumar and all the state general secretaries will be present in the team meeting. National General Secretary Santosh will leave for Delhi on December 7 morning after staying overnight at Bijapur Guest House.
Observer teams will be sent to the bodies soon
Regarding the meetings to be held regarding the civic elections, Kothari said that on the instructions of the state president, election in-charges of the bodies have been appointed. Soon the party will send observer teams to all corporations, municipalities and Nagar Panchayats. These teams will have detailed discussions with local senior workers and party officials about the possible candidates. Along with this, a report will also be prepared on the candidates on the basis of ground survey. As soon as the situation becomes clear from the government regarding reservation, the party will start finalizing its candidate selection process.
