Three-day Ashtalakshmi festival begins at Bharat Mandapam, PM Modi inaugurates it
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the three-day Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital. Sharing the information on the post, he wrote that the Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav is a symbol of the vibrant culture of the northeastern states. He said that the focus will also be on promoting investments related to this region such as tourism, textiles, handicrafts and other sectors and economic activities.
The festival will run from 6 to 8 December
Let us tell you that this three-day cultural festival, being celebrated for the first time, has been organized from 6 to 8 December. The vast cultural heritage of Northeast India is to be highlighted through the cultural festival. A series of traditional arts, crafts and cultural traditions will be brought together in it. During this, PM Modi also watched colorful presentations on the stage after the inauguration.
What is special in this exhibition?
The concept of promoting economic opportunities in areas like traditional handicrafts, handloom, agricultural products and tourism has been kept in this exhibition. During this, many types of programs will be held in the festival. There will be artisan exhibitions, rural haats, state-specific pavilions and technical sessions on thrust areas for development of the North Eastern region.
