Illegal mining is being done in the name of cleaning Ganga? Saint Swami Dayanand of Matri Sadan started a fast
Following the government’s order, machines are carrying out the cleaning and levelling of the blue stream of Ganga in the Kumbh Mela area. Calling it a violation of the Nainital High Court’s order, Saint Swami Dayanand of Matri Sadan, an organization working for the uninterrupted flow and cleanliness of the Ganga, has started a fast.
Matri Sadan alleged that the Uttarakhand High Court has banned any kind of mining in the Kumbh Mela area. Even after this, the state government is colluding with the mining mafia and is carrying out mining in the name of cleaning the Ganga, disregarding the High Court’s orders. However, a day before, a meeting was held between Matri Sadan and the district administration officials regarding this matter, which was inconclusive.
It is worth noting that a double bench of the Uttarakhand High Court has banned any kind of mining in the Kumbh Mela area. While Pokland and JCB machines have been deployed in the name of cleaning the Ganga in the Bairagi Camp of Haridwar. On the other hand, Matri Sadan, an organization working for the uninterrupted flow of Ganga and against illegal mining, has lodged a protest alleging that mining is being done in the name of cleanliness in Bairagi Camp. Suraj Seva Dal and Bharatiya Kisan Union have supported Matri Sadan.
After the meeting held on Friday, ADM PL Shah had told that a hearing in this regard is to be held in the High Court on December 13. That is, there is no stay of any kind in this regard. After that, whatever order will be given by the High Court, it will be followed. He said that whatever work is being done is in public interest. No commercialization of any kind is being done in this work.
Let us tell you that only 10 Sadan Sansthan has been fasting from time to time to save the uninterrupted flow and purity of Ganga. Even before this, Swami Shivanand, Swami Atmabodhanand, Padmavati have fasted many times to maintain the uninterrupted flow and purity of Ganga.
