Israel carried out airstrikes in Lebanon, cut off communication on the Syrian border, know how Assad’s troubles will increase
An Israeli airstrike has cut off road links between Lebanon and Syria at a major border crossing. It was reopened only a few days ago. This information was given in the news of Lebanon’s ‘National News Agency’. The airstrike on the Arida border in the north of the country caused heavy damage and cut off road links. According to the news of the pro-government daily newspaper ‘Al-Watan’ in Syria, the road at the border post has been closed due to the air strike in the early hours of Friday.
Rebels gain ground in Syria
According to reports, Syrian rebels entered two towns just north of the city of Homs in the early hours of Friday. In this way, they came close to Syria’s third largest city. Meanwhile, a Hamas official said that international mediators have resumed talks with the extremist group and Israel for a ceasefire in Gaza, and they hope that an agreement will be reached to end the 14-month-long war.
Israel’s war against Hamas began when Hamas-led extremists attacked southern Israel in October 2023, killing about 1,200 people and taking about 250 hostage.
Israeli attack will increase Assad’s troubles
The Israeli military said fighter jets attacked the border between Lebanon and Syria. In the past two months, several border checkpoints between Lebanon and Syria have been closed due to Israeli airstrikes. Middle East experts say that Israel’s latest attack will hinder Lebanon’s extremist group Hezbollah from helping the Assad regime in Syria. This attack will indirectly help the Islamic rebels.
Iran launches rocket into space
Meanwhile, Iran said on Friday that it has successfully launched into space, which is part of its latest launch program, which is criticized by Western countries. Western countries allege that this program is promoting Tehran’s ballistic missile program. Iran carried out this launch through its satellite-carrying ‘Simorgh’ vehicle. Earlier, several attempts to launch using this vehicle have failed. This launch was carried out from the ‘Imam Khomeini Spaceport’ located in Iran’s Semnan province.
The success of the launch could not be independently confirmed immediately. This announcement has been made at a time when tensions are rising in West Asia due to Israel’s ongoing war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip and the weak ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.
