More than 60 farmers who reached Pari Chowk in Noida to march to Delhi were arrested and sent to jail
More than 60 farmers and women who had come to march to Delhi on Saturday as part of the ongoing agitation for demands including 10 percent land were arrested from Pari Chowk. All of them have been sent to Luksar jail. Farmers arrived in groups raising slogans.
A jail bharo movement is going on for demands including release of farmers arrested in the ongoing agitation for demands including giving 10 percent land. On Saturday, on the information of farmers marching to Delhi, a large number of police, PAC and RPF women jawans were deployed at Pari Chowk since morning. At around 12 o’clock, more than 30 farmers and women reached Pari Chowk raising slogans from Tuglapur village. As soon as the farmers reached Pari Chowk, the police surrounded them from all sides. The farmers were arrested and sent to jail.
After half an hour, farmers and women from villages near NTPC in Dadri reached Pari Chowk raising slogans. More than 40 women were also included in this. There was a lot of pushing and shoving while the police arrested the women. The women sat on the ground and kept raising slogans. The police picked them up and sent them to jail in a bus. The protesting farmers say that the police and administration are running a dictatorship. Their leaders have been sent to jail to suppress the movement. But the farmers will get their rights. The farmers’ Jail Bharo movement will continue.
