Uttarakhand Congress state president Karan Mahara is on a Delhi tour to get consent for appointments to the vacant posts of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) and block presidents. During this, he is meeting senior party leaders.

On Tuesday, Karan Mahara met senior Congress leader and newly elected MP from Wayanad Priyanka Gandhi in Delhi and congratulated her on winning the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat with a huge majority. During this meeting, Karan Mahara discussed various issues of Uttarakhand and shared information about strengthening the Congress at the grassroots level in the state.

Karan Mahara said, every Congress worker of Uttarakhand is committed to effectively convey the messages coming from the national and state level to the booth level. He said that the state Congress is constantly raising its voice against the anti-people policies of the BJP through dharna demonstrations and public awareness programs.

During this meeting, Priyanka Gandhi told the state president of the party that she and her family have a deep connection with Uttarakhand. She also said that the memories of Uttarakhand are still fresh in her mind and she gets a feeling of supernatural peace from the days spent there. Priyanka Gandhi assured that she will always be ready to personally strengthen the Congress in Uttarakhand. She has also sent her best wishes to the Congress workers.
