Uttarakhand: Newly appointed Garhwal IG Rajiv Swaroop took charge and listed his priorities

The Uttarakhand government on Wednesday made changes in the working areas of five IPS officers. Karan Singh Nagnyal, who was handling the responsibilities of IG Garhwal for more than two years, has been transferred and this responsibility has now been given to Rajiv Swaroop. Karan Singh Nagnyal has now been given the responsibility of Intelligence and Security. Garhwal IG Rajiv Swaroop took charge today. After this, Rajiv Swaroop listed his priorities. In which he described the winter Chardham Yatra, the National Games to be held in Uttarakhand as important challenges.

2006 IPS Rajiv Swaroop took charge of IG Garhwal region today. After taking charge, he was congratulated by SSP and other officers. Before becoming IG Garhwal, IPS Rajiv Swaroop held the posts of SP Dehradun Commandant IRB, SP Tehri, SP Uttarkashi, SSP Haridwar, SSP Pauri, SP Int, SP PHQ, AIG PAC, DIG Training Director PTC, DIG Security and IG Security.

Listing his priorities, Rajiv Swaroop said that he will fulfill the responsibility given to him very well. He said that traffic jams and crime are also a big challenge in view of the increasing population in Dehradun and Haridwar cities. He said that he will keep a close eye on these matters. He will study these matters. He said that 100 percent efforts will be made to provide relief to the common people from the problems they face.
