Dhami’s announcement- Uttarakhand will also shine in the world of Ayurveda, hundred year old Ayurveda colleges of the state will be rejuvenated, DPR of Rishikul College is ready
Two hundred year old Ayurveda colleges in Uttarakhand will soon be transformed. The matter of upgradation of one of these Rishikul Colleges is progressing rapidly. Uttarakhand has prepared a detailed project report (DPR) to send to the central government. The attitude of the central government is very positive in this regard. Similarly, the government is also eyeing the hundred year old Gurukul Ayurveda College. However, its idea is still at a very primary stage.
Amidst these conditions, the organization of World Ayurveda Congress and Expo-2024 in Dehradun is proving to be an atmosphere in favor of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is continuously lobbying for the upgradation of hundred year old Ayurveda colleges. However, Uttarakhand had sent a proposal to the central government to make Rishikul College an All India Institute of Ayurveda. The Center had asked Uttarakhand to send a proposal for upgradation instead. The AYUSH department of Uttarakhand has taken necessary action in this regard. In this regard, the Public Works Department has also prepared the detail project (DPR) related to the upgradation. A decision is to be taken on this soon at the government level.
According to Dr. AK Tripathi, Vice Chancellor of Uttarakhand Ayurveda University, looking at the positive attitude of the Center, it is expected that Rishikul College will be upgraded soon. On the other hand, Union AYUSH Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha says that action on Uttarakhand’s proposal is in progress and the ministry’s attitude is positive. At the same time, in this whole matter, CM Dhami said that the government is committed to promote every activity related to AYUSH in Uttarakhand. The state is also getting full support from the central government in this regard. We hope that whatever proposals Uttarakhand has regarding AYUSH, they will be approved soon.
