What is the rule of compensation
According to the rule, if there is a theft in the bank locker or the goods kept in it disappear or get damaged due to any reason, then in this regard the bank has to pay a hundred times the annual rent of the locker to the customer. That is, if the annual rent of a locker is Rs 1000 and there is a theft in the locker, then the bank will give compensation of one lakh rupees to the customer.
What can be kept in a bank locker
According to the new bank locker agreement, you can keep jewelry, important documents, property papers, birth certificate, insurance policy, savings bonds and other confidential things in the bank locker.
These things cannot be kept in the locker
According to the new rule, you cannot keep cash in the bank locker. Apart from this, you cannot keep weapons, drugs, explosives, radioactive materials and banned things in the bank locker.
