Big action by Uttarakhand Congress, rebel leaders expelled for 6 years, see list

Uttarakhand Congress has taken strong action against rebel candidates across the state. Congress has expelled rebels who contested elections against party candidates in various municipal corporations, municipalities and Nagar Panchayat areas in the municipal elections from the party for 6 years.
Congress has expelled such Congressmen contesting elections as rebel candidates and leaders involved in anti-party activities from the primary membership of the Congress party for 6 years with immediate effect. Congress state president Karan Mahara has taken this decision on the request of the presidents of the district and metropolitan committees. Former mayor Yashpal Rana, who is contesting his wife as a rebel against the mayor post in Roorkee, rebel candidate Santosh Rana from Rudraprayag, female rebel candidate Kubja from Kukimat, Kavi Joshi from Nagar Palika Bageshwar, Vice President of Ex-Serviceman Cell Mahendra Pal Singh Rawat contesting as an independent candidate from Kotdwar, as well as rebel candidates Dinesh Chandra Master and Mahendra Singh from Rishikesh Municipal Corporation have been expelled from the party.
Apart from this, disciplinary action has been taken against Sunil Panwar from Gauchar in Chamoli, Gajpal Lal, Anil Kumar and Anita Devi from Karnaprayag, Pushkar Rawat from Gairsain, Aarti Navani from Peepalkothi, Preeti from Nagar Palika Chamba, Vinod Lal from Ghansali, Bhagat Singh from Nagar Palika Tehri and expelled them with immediate effect. Karan Mahara issued a statement saying that the party leadership has taken it seriously as all of them were involved in anti-party activities. Apart from this, the state president of the party has also requested the central leadership to take disciplinary action against Pithoragarh MLA Mayukh Mahar.
Meanwhile, the party has also recommended disciplinary action against the office bearers of Youth Congress. A recommendation has been made to the National President of Youth Congress to expel the National Secretary of Youth Congress, Rishendra Mahar, due to anti-party activities. Karan Mahara said that indiscipline in the party will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
