Uttarakhand: NGT refused to accept the ordinance issued on slums, politics started in the state, Congress said- BJP government adopts such tactics only to garner votes

The issue of slums in Uttarakhand has been going on for a long time. The matter has heated up once again after the intervention of NGT. Actually, the government is engaged in saving slums by bringing ordinances in the matter of slums for three consecutive times. Now NGT (National Green Tribunal) has refused to accept the ordinance related to slums of the state government. NGT said that if the Center brings any such ordinance, then only that will be valid.
Let us tell you that recently the Uttarakhand government has brought an ordinance to provide relief to slums for the third consecutive time. NGT has objected to this. Now political parties have also come face to face on this. Uttarakhand Congress State Spokesperson Sheeshpal Singh Bisht said that the government takes advantage of slums only for vote bank in elections. A bill was brought for slums in the Harish Rawat government. Which was abolished by the BJP government. He said what is the benefit of bringing such an ordinance which NGT itself has refused to accept.
On the other hand, senior BJP leader and MLA Dharampur Vinod Chamoli said that the state government is concerned about the slums. Even if it has to go to the Supreme Court, the state government will go there with the slums. Even if the slums are removed, they will not be left alone. Arrangements will be made for them at another place. The slums will be displaced in a systematic manner.
MLA Dharampur Vinod Chamoli said that these people are also the priority of the government. Vinod Chamoli said that the Congress is trying unsuccessfully to spread confusion. Regarding the regularization of slums, he said that the party’s stand on this issue is clear that a permanent solution to this issue is necessary. In the current circumstances, it is necessary to first secure the affected people.
