Artists from Uttarakhand shine in Delhi, secure second position in National Stadium Camp

In the competition held at the National Stadium Camp, New Delhi, tableau artists from different states and ministries presented cultural programs and dances based on the culture of their respective states. Uttarakhand has secured second place among the top 3 states in the competition.

K.S. Chauhan, Joint Director and Team Leader of Uttarakhand Information Department, said that artists from different states of the country come to the Republic Day parade. These artists are made to compete in cultural programs by the Government of India at the National Stadium Camp, New Delhi, in which a team is given only 3:30 minutes.
The artists presented the famous Jagar song and folk dance Chhapeli
Programs based on their folk culture have to be presented in the stipulated time. In which, artists from Uttarakhand presented “famous Jagar singing and folk dance Chhapeli”. Which was selected for the award by the committee constituted by the Government of India, the glimpse of the folk culture of Uttarakhand in this “famous Jagar singing and folk dance Chhapeli” was liked very much by the committee, due to which Uttarakhand has received this award.
Will perform on the path of duty
Let us tell you that after receiving the award in this competition, the artists of the state will now present cultural programs in front of Rashtrapati Bhavan, Prime Minister’s residence and Vice President, Defense Minister and Tribal Minister after 26 January. This year in the Republic Day parade, Uttarakhand will display a tableau on the theme of “Cultural Heritage and Adventure Sports” on the path of duty.
