Triple engine ran for the post of mayor in the municipal corporations of Uttarakhand, saffron flag high in 10 out of 11 corporations, BJP won all the seats except Srinagar

In Uttarakhand, BJP has performed well and has formed its government in the ‘city’ as well. Out of 11, 10 are becoming its mayors. In the elections held on 100 seats of urban body elections, independents have also surprised a lot. BJP mayors have been elected in Dehradun, Rishikesh, Kotdwar, Pithoragarh, Haldwani, Kashipur, Almora, Kotdwar, Rudrapur. BJP candidates are in a decisive lead in Haridwar, Roorkee. Shambhu Paswan of BJP won the most talked about mayor seat of Rishikesh. Independent candidate Aarti Bhandari won the Srinagar mayor seat. The special thing is that Congress did not even open its account on 11 seats. If we talk about 2018, then Congress had won 2 seats then. BJP’s score was 5. This time BJP has got double happiness in the mayor elections. Now 10 municipal corporations are in its possession. BJP is leading in 43 Nagar Palikas and 46 Nagar Panchayats, but Congress has given a tough fight here. Independents have also emerged as the third force. In the results declared so far for 43 Nagar Palikas, BJP has won in 15 and Congress in 12. Out of 46 Nagar Panchayat Presidents, BJP has won in 15 and Congress candidates have won in 12.
