Uttarakhand: DGP hoisted the tricolor at the police headquarters, 53 policemen were honored
On the 76th Republic Day, DGP Deepam Seth hoisted the flag at the Uttarakhand Police Headquarters. During this, police officers and employees were sworn in to their duty. Also, 8 police personnel were awarded the Governor’s Excellent Service Medal, 15 police personnel were awarded the Director General of Police Commendation Disc ‘Gold’ and 30 police personnel were awarded the Director General of Police Commendation Disc ‘Silver’.
DGP Deepam Seth said that today we all have gathered here on the auspicious occasion of the 76th Republic Day. This day is not just a date, but a symbol of the democratic soul of our country. Our Constitution came into force on this day in the year 1950, which gives the right to equality, freedom and justice to every citizen of this country.
He said that I salute our freedom fighters and constitution makers, whose sacrifice, hard work and leadership gave us the opportunity to see this glorious day. Every jawan of Uttarakhand Police is the sentinel of the state. With your loyalty and dedication, Uttarakhand Police has given its best performance in every situation.
DGP Deepam Seth said that on the occasion of Republic Day 2025, the Government of India has awarded the President’s Distinguished Service Medal to 1 personnel of Uttarakhand Police and Medal for Commendable Service to 5 personnel. He said that with hard work, dedication, honesty and good conduct, we will continue to move forward in the direction of maintaining our better image among the general public.
