On Sunday, January 26, former MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion reached the office of Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar with his supporters and beat up the staff there. After this, Champion also fired several rounds there. After the firing, Champion fled from there. As soon as he got information about the case, Umesh Kumar also reached his office and pressured the police to take action. After this, the police registered a case and arrested Champion from Dehradun.

At the same time, Champion’s wife Devyani Rani also filed a complaint against Umesh Kumar in Roorkee Civil Line Police Station. Devyani Rani alleges that around 9 pm on Saturday night, Umesh Kumar came to her house with some goons in some vehicles and abused her. Devyani Rani alleges that Umesh Kumar has also threatened to kill her if she leaves. The police have registered a case in this matter. It is being told that Umesh Kumar is currently in police custody.
