Hundreds of secretariat employees of Uttarakhand heaved a sigh of relief, the sword of recovery was removed with this order

The sword of recovery hanging over hundreds of employees in Uttarakhand Secretariat has now been removed. The government has issued an order in a 12-year-old case and ended the dispute over salary hike. Uttarakhand Secretariat Association was demanding relief from the government for a long time in this matter. The order has been passed after the consent of Chief Secretary Radha Raturi.
Grade pay was increased on the basis of reduction in secretariat allowance
Actually, in the year 2012, the Secretariat Administration in Uttarakhand Secretariat had ordered to increase the grade pay for the posts of Review Officer, Review Officer Accounts, Section Officer, Section Officer Accounts, Additional Private Secretary and Private Secretary. This grade pay of secretariat employees was increased on the basis of reduction in secretariat allowance.
For the last 12 years, employees were getting the benefit of increase in grade pay under this order in Uttarakhand Secretariat, but suddenly 6 months ago, an objection was lodged on this grade pay hike done in 2012 at the treasury level. It was said in the objection that grade pay cannot be increased in less than 6 months. Due to which, there was a possibility of recovery from about 800 secretariat employees who were retired and were currently working.
In the year 2012, an order was passed to increase the grade pay of Review Officer and Review Officer Accounts from 4600 to 4800 by cutting ₹200 from the secretariat allowance. Similarly, the grade pay of Section Officer, Section Officer Accounts and Private Secretary was increased from 4800 to 5400 by cutting ₹600 from the secretariat allowance.
On the other hand, considering the demand of the secretariat union, the government has ended the dispute of salary increment by considering the time remaining for these employees to complete 6 months as a noose. Uttarakhand Secretariat Union has expressed happiness after this order related to about 800 employees.
Continuous efforts were being made for this by the secretariat union. Finally, the government has given an order on this, considering the union’s point to be correct. Due to which about 800 retired and working employees of the state are going to get a big relief.
