Uttarakhand: Budget session should be held in Dehradun, arrangements are not complete in Gairsain, Vidhan Sabha Speaker requested
Preparations for the upcoming budget session of the Uttarakhand Assembly are going on in full swing. It is expected that the budget session may be convened from February 17. In view of this, the Uttarakhand government has also intensified preparations. The government is engaged in the exercise of making the budget in accordance with public sentiments. The date and place of the budget session of the Assembly has not been decided yet. Even before that, Speaker of the Assembly Ritu Bhushan Khanduri has requested the state government to hold the budget session of the Assembly in Dehradun itself. He has also explained the reason behind this.
On Friday, Speaker of the Assembly Ritu Bhushan Khanduri held a press conference. During this, Ritu Bhushan Khanduri said that work has been done under e-Neva in both the assembly houses of Uttarakhand, Dehradun and Bhararisain. Through this, they have been digitalized. So that paperless assembly sessions can be conducted. Legislative assemblies of all the states of the country have been digitalized. In this sequence, the assemblies of Uttarakhand have also been digitalized. At present, the Dehradun Assembly has been made digital. The Vidhan Sabha Bhawan located in Bhararisain has not been digitalized yet. Along with this, the sound also echoes a lot in the Vidhan Sabha Bhawan located in Bhararisain.
In view of the problem of sound echo in the Vidhan Sabha Bhawan located in Bhararisain, IIT Roorkee was met. They were also told to study the reasons for the echo and solve this problem, but this process has not been completed yet. Due to which she is requesting the government to organize the upcoming Vidhan Sabha budget session in Dehradun itself, because the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat in Bhararisain has not been fully prepared. She also said that the process of work has been going on for the last one year. IIT Roorkee has also been working for the last three months. There has been a slight delay in completing the arrangements in Bhararisain, but all the arrangements will be completed in the next two-three months. This is the reason why she is requesting the government to hold the Vidhan Sabha budget session in Dehradun.
Ritu Bhushan Khanduri said that if the state government decides to hold the session in Bhararisain, then the sessions will be held in Bhararisain only, but everyone will face inconvenience. She said that it is the government’s decision where the assembly budget session should be held. Due to which she is only requesting the government for this.
