She said that the public has blessed her as an independent candidate. Respecting this mandate, she will keep the development of the city as her priority. Mayor Aarti Bhandari said that new areas have been included in the Municipal Corporation, where the infrastructure is not fully developed. Providing facilities in these areas will be her priority. Expectations of elected councillors
At the same time, the councillors of those new 27 wards also have high hopes for the development of their wards from the first mayor of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Aarti Bhandari. Those areas could never become wards in the past when Srinagar Municipality was a part of it. But after the expansion of the area to form the corporation in the year 2021, 27 new wards have been created out of the total 40 wards. Now that the municipal elections are over, the councillors of the new wards also have high hopes from the first mayor of the corporation.
