Uttarakhand: 17 disaster affected families in Chamoli will soon be displaced, a proposal of Rs 72.25 lakh sent to the government

A meeting of the District Level Rehabilitation Committee was held today under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari regarding the displacement and rehabilitation of disaster affected families in the district. In which consent was given to send a proposal of Rs 72.25 lakh for the displacement and rehabilitation of 17 disaster affected families under Sarpani, Ligandi and Tharali Nagar Panchayat of the district to the government for approval.

District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari directed to send the rehabilitation proposal of the affected families to the government soon. Also directed the concerned SDM to ensure basic facilities at the places of rehabilitation of the affected family.

District Disaster Management Officer Nandkishore Joshi said that among the 17 disaster affected families, 14 families of Sarpani village under Tehsil Nandanagar, 2 of Ligandi village in Tehsil Tharali and one family from Ward No. 3 of Nagar Panchayat Tharali are included. For the displacement of all these affected families, displacement is being done on their private measured land.

Geological survey work of private measured land has been completed for displacement. A proposal of Rs 59.50 lakh for the displacement and rehabilitation of 14 families of the disaster-affected Sarpani village, Rs 8.50 lakh for the displacement of 2 families of Ligandi village and Rs 4.25 lakh for the displacement of a family of Nagar Panchayat Tharali was approved. The affected families will be displaced after the release of funds from the government.
