Harmony program with equality: CM Dhami honored in the gathering of saints for UCC in Maha Kumbh
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Samarasata program organized at Acharya Camp in Prayagraj on Sunday. On this occasion, all the saints congratulated the Chief Minister for implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) for the first time in the state of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister was honored with a garland by the saints.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister thanked all the saints and said that it is a matter of good fortune to get the blessings of revered saints on the auspicious occasion of the holy land of Triveni and Mahakumbh. He said that the blessings of revered saints are most important in the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a developed India. He said that implementing the Uniform Civil Code is a step towards developed India. The honor that the saints have given me is the honor of every citizen of Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister said that before the 2022 assembly elections, we had pledged to implement the Uniform Civil Code in front of the people of Uttarakhand. The public gave us their blessings. After the formation of the government, a committee was formed for the Uniform Civil Code in the first cabinet meeting. After which, the state government of Uttarakhand under the leadership of the Prime Minister implemented the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand for the first time after the independence of the country.
The Chief Minister said that the Constitution makers had also made a provision for uniform laws. Uttarakhand is Devbhoomi, our state is the state of Ganga, Yamuna, four Dhams, Adi Kailash, saints. In the state of Uttarakhand, a member of every household is in the army. The youth of Devbhoomi is serving Mother India in every place of the country.
The Chief Minister said that Maha Kumbh is a symbol of the vastness of our Sanatan culture. Getting the blessings of all the great saints on the occasion of Maha Kumbh is the biggest achievement of their lives. Our Sanatan culture has always been the promoter of harmony and equality. Sanatan culture teaches us to give the right of equality to all.
Inspired by Sanatan culture, the state government has taken a bold decision to implement the Uniform Civil Code. This Ganga of Uniform Civil Code from Devbhoomi Uttarakhand will definitely go to the entire country. Said, UCC also fulfills the Prime Minister’s resolution of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
It is also important for our future generations. Referring to the incident of the murder of Shraddha Walker in Delhi in 2022, the Chief Minister said that after the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, such incidents will stop completely. He said that now no one will be able to commit such a crime with our daughters. The Chief Minister said that he has full faith that UCC will be implemented in all the states in the coming time.
Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj said that there is no divine place like Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand is very dear to all the saints. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj said that all the saints of India are with Chief Minister Dhami ji. Despite being a small state, Uttarakhand has become the largest, in which the Uniform Civil Code has been implemented first. He said that Chief Minister Dhami has given strength to India by implementing UCC. Now other states along with Uttarakhand will also take steps towards implementing UCC.
Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj said that the UCC committee itself had gone and communicated with the saints. On this occasion, Swami Chidanand Muni, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Balakanand Giri Ji Maharaj, Srimahant Ravindrapuri Ji Maharaj, Mahant Srihari Giri Ji Maharaj, Mahamandaleshwar Narayan Giri Ji Maharaj, Mahamandaleshwar Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Ashutoshanand Giri Maharaj and other saints along with a large number of devotees were present.
