Uttarakhand: Now no child will sit on the floor in government schools, 250 schools will get furniture by February 25 under DM Savin Bansal’s project “Utkarsh”

Under the project “Utkarsh”, DM Savin Bansal’s efforts to make government schools smart with modern technology have started coming to fruition. Schools in remote areas of the district will now get furniture by February. ONGC and HUDCO are cooperating in this work.

In this ambitious project of the District Magistrate, work worth Rs 2.5 crore is in process for modern equipment LED for teaching and learning system in schools by HUDCO, while ONGC is cooperating in furniture and equipment worth Rs 1.5 crore. The DM plans to make children modern and competitive along with studies, for which the DM is continuously making efforts at his level. Soon online studies will be possible in schools through LED screens. The project of Rs 3.5 crore on HUDCO is in the final stage.

The District Magistrate has said that work is being done towards making proper arrangements in schools in Dehradun district including basic facilities like white board, two LED lights in each room, furniture, outdoor sports etc., for which an amount of Rs 1 crore was placed on the Chief Education Officer Nivartan. Under which the concerned block education officers have also been allocated funds as per the demand. Children will read biographies of great men in schools, efforts are also being made to provide skill development education to children along with studies, studies along with sports and entertainment, children will be exposed to the country and the world through comics, magazines and newspapers.

On the initiative of the District Magistrate, instructions were given to make newspapers, magazines, dictionaries and biographies of great men compulsory in every school so that children can get acquainted with the biographies of great men along with vocational education. The District Magistrate has directed the Chief Education Officer and the concerned Block and Deputy Education Officers to ensure that basic facilities, light, water, drinking water, toilets are available in the classrooms of the schools, arrangements for repair of water tanks, cleanliness and security as well as quality nutritious food.
