PM Modi will come to Devbhoomi on 27 February for winter stay, CM Dhami had requested
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has a special attachment to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, will visit the state on February 27 for winter stay. According to sources, the government has received preliminary information in this regard, but the official program is not available yet.
However, the government has started preparations in view of the visit of Prime Minister Modi. It is believed that the Prime Minister may visit Mukhba, the winter seat of Gangotri Dham located in Uttarkashi district on this day and may also stay overnight in Harshil or Bagori. The Prime Minister’s visit is being considered very important in view of promoting winter travel and tourism in the state.
The state government is giving emphasis on tourism
The state government is giving special emphasis on pilgrimage and tourism in Uttarakhand. In this connection, after the closure of the doors of the four Dhams Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, the journey to the winter seats of these Dhams has been started. The intention of the government behind this is that people come to the state for pilgrimage and tourism throughout the year.
Recently, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi and informed him about the winter yatra started in the state. Also requested him to visit any winter tourist destination of Uttarakhand.
When Prime Minister Modi came to Dehradun on 28 January for the inauguration of the National Games, he appreciated the effort of winter yatra. Also talked about being a part of the winter yatra. Actually, Prime Minister Modi has a special affection for Uttarakhand and he considers it his second home. The reconstruction of Kedarnath Dham is part of his dream project and due to this, today Kedarpuri has shined in a new look.
Badrinath Dham is also being developed as per the master plan, while many works have also been approved in Gangotri and Yamunotri. Whenever the Prime Minister gets time, he comes to Devbhoomi. He has played an important role in the branding of Chardham Yatra including Kedarnath Dham. Now his visit is being considered important from the point of view of promoting winter yatra and its branding. If he visits the winter seat of Gangotri Dham and stays there then naturally there will be branding of the winter pilgrimage.
