Uttarakhand: Ghanna Bhai was given a farewell with state honours in Haridwar, his sons lit the pyre, MP MLA paid tribute
Hundreds of people gave a tearful farewell to Uttarakhand’s famous comedian Ghanananda Gagodia alias Ghannabhai on February 12 today. He was cremated with state honors at Haridwar’s Kharkhari crematorium. His three sons lit the funeral pyre. Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat and local MLA Madan Kaushik were present during this time.
People gave a tearful farewell to Ghannabhai Ghanananda in Haridwar today. His last journey started from his residence in Dehradun. Where many people bid farewell to him for the last journey after his last darshan. At the same time, his last rites were performed at Haridwar’s Kharkhari crematorium. His three sons, the elder Nishant, the middle Prashant and the younger Sushant lit the funeral pyre.
Earlier, BJP MP from Haridwar Trivendra Singh Rawat and BJP MLA from Haridwar Nagar Madan Kaushik, including leaders of political parties and officials of the administration paid tribute to him. Haridwar City Magistrate Kusum Chauhan said that he was given a farewell with state honors.
Nishant wept with his head on Trivendra’s shoulder
As soon as Ghannabhai’s body was brought to Haridwar, MP Trivendra Singh Rawat consoled his elder son Nishant. But Nishant could not stop himself from getting emotional and started weeping with his head on Trivendra Singh Rawat’s shoulder. Trivendra also consoled him. Trivendra Rawat said that the departure of Ghananand Ghannabhai is a big loss for Uttarakhand. He cannot be compensated in any way.
He breathed his last in Indresh Hospital
Let us tell you that on February 11, Ghananand Gagodia alias Ghannabhai breathed his last in Mahant Indresh Hospital in Dehradun. According to the doctors, he died due to cardiac arrest. The doctors of the hospital tried to give him CPR. But he could not be revived. He said goodbye to the world at the age of 72. Recently, he was admitted to the hospital after his health deteriorated. Where he was on ventilator for several days.
