Uttarakhand: Complaint of threatening SSP during live, another case against Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar

Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar’s threat to Haridwar SSP Pramod Dobal by going live on Facebook proved costly. Police have registered a case against Umesh Kumar in the matter. In fact, former MLA from Khanpur Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion has been in jail for about 20 days. Police have registered a case against Khanpur MLA under Section 224 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
It is worth noting that on January 26, former MLA from Khanpur Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion reached the camp office of current MLA from Khanpur Umesh Kumar in Roorkee with his supporters and opened fire. However, stone pelting was also done during this, in which many supporters were injured. In this case, Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion and his four supporters are lodged in Roshnabad jail. Police had also arrested MLA Umesh Kumar in this case. But Umesh Kumar got bail from the court itself.
Meanwhile, MLA Umesh Kumar had done a live on social media. It has been told in the complaint that Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar has threatened the SSP by making a live video viral on his Facebook ID. Additional Sub Inspector Pushkar Singh Chauhan posted in Roorkee Civil Line Police Station has told in the complaint that on January 29, MLA Umesh Kumar had said about SAC Pramod Dobal in his live on social media,
I had warned you earlier also, I had told you earlier also that you had taken wrong action against me in Bhagwanpur, and I am telling you again Dobal ji that you should not take such action. I am warning you again and I want to tell the administration. I want to tell the Haridwar administration, do not try to harass our people at all. You filed a case against me while I had no fault in it. You had no right to arrest me under the sections under which you arrested me, but if you try to harass me even after my cooperating so much, it will not be good. I am telling the administration again that we are people who fight, we are not people who bow down. We cannot bow our necks. Along with this, other statements have been made.
A case has been registered against MLA Umesh Kumar on the basis of the complaint of Additional Sub Inspector Pushkar Singh Chauhan.
