Uttarakhand: Congress is busy cornering the government on the issue of smart prepaid meters, announced to corner it from the road to the House

These days, the issue of smart prepaid meter for electricity bill is hot in the politics of Uttarakhand. Two days ago, Congress MLA from Kichha Tilak Raj Behad broke the smart prepaid meter by throwing it on the road. In this regard, today on Wednesday, February 12, MLA Tilak Raj Behad again targeted the government.

On Wednesday, February 12, Deputy Leader of Opposition Bhuvan Kapri and Congress MLA from Jaspur Adesh Chauhan also took the BJP government to task on the issue of smart prepaid meter along with MLA Tilak Raj Behad. All three Congress MLAs have announced to fight a do-or-die battle with the government on smart prepaid meter.

Congress MLAs said that they will raise this issue from the streets to the House. Farmers and poor laborers in Udham Singh Nagar district do not even have money to pay their children’s fees. People are dependent on their salary and sale of crops. In such a situation, how will people recharge the smart prepaid meter in advance for electricity?

Congress MLAs targeted BJP and said that the state government has not been able to provide schemes like Har Ghar Nal and Har Ghar Jal to the people, but it is definitely delivering their bills. Similarly, a road map has been prepared to suck the blood of poor people through smart prepaid meters. For this, the opposition will corner the government in the assembly session.
