Uttarakhand: High Court strict on over speeding and accidents, orders to appear to IG Garhwal Traffic

Road accidents are happening every day in Uttarakhand due to over speeding. The Nainital High Court has taken a strict stand. In this case, the division bench of Chief Justice G Narendra and Justice Ashish Naithani has considered the matter very serious. Also, IG Garhwal Traffic has been ordered to appear in court personally on February 20.

The High Court has also asked that when the vehicle is running at over speed, can such sensors be installed on the road, which can be informed to the family of the driver and the concerned police station. So that he can be challaned. Give your suggestions on this in the court on February 20.

Roads are not suitable for driving on sport mode

Actually, Nainital High Court advocate Lalit Miglani has filed a PIL. Every day, young people between 18 to 25 years of age are dying untimely by driving at over speed. Nowadays many types of features have come in vehicles. Of which they are not aware.

At present, young people are driving vehicles on sport mode, due to which they are becoming victims of accidents. The roads of the state are not suitable for driving in sport mode. Because, this is a hilly state. The roads here are narrow and winding. On top of this, youngsters are driving vehicles after consuming drugs. Therefore, the age of driving a vehicle of 1000 to 2000 CC should be fixed at 25 years.

25 years should be fixed as the age for driving big vehicles

Like, provision has been made for driving vehicles up to 50 CC for youngsters of 16 to 18 years. Similarly, the age of driving big vehicles should be fixed at 25 years. Whatever accidents are happening at present, they are happening due to over speeding by youngsters of 18 to 25 years. Therefore, the state government should fix the age for driving big vehicles.
