Uttarakhand: Mock drill to prevent forest fire in the state, CM Dhami was present in Doon, strict instructions to officers

The incidents of forest fire occurring every year in the state of Uttarakhand are becoming a big challenge for the state government, in view of which all initiatives are being taken by the state government so that the incidents of fire forest can be curbed, in this sequence, a state level mock drill was organized by the Disaster Department on Thursday.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami observed the mock drill organized by the National Disaster Management Authority and Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority.

Guidelines to the officials

Along with this, instructions were given to the officials that all the preparations should be completed in time to prevent incidents of forest fire. Let us tell you that 71 percent of the land area of ​​Uttarakhand is surrounded by forest area, this is the reason that during forest fires, not only the forests are damaged but there is a lot of loss of life and property along with wildlife.

Forest fire control mock drill organized across the state

At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that mock drills are being organized across the state. In view of the incidents of forest fire that have happened in Uttarakhand in the last few years, a mock drill was organized with all the departments with the special assistance of the Ministry of Home Affairs, NDMA and PM Office. Officers of all the districts are involved in this mock drill. To completely curb the incidents of forest fire, self-help groups, youth, students, Yuvak Mangal Dal, Mahila Mangal Dal as well as public representatives will run awareness campaigns together. Also, a plan will be prepared on the basis of previous experience of forest fire.
