Uttarakhand: UCC registration has gained momentum, 1006 people have registered so far, an update has also come regarding live-in

The people of Uttarakhand are now taking the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) seriously. This is the reason why hundreds of people are visiting its website every day for registration and other works. Not only this, information is also being sought about the live-in relationship registration which was creating a ruckus in the whole country. So far, three couples have registered themselves on the portal of Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
Number of people is constantly increasing: In Uttarakhand, the maximum number of people visiting the Uniform Civil Code portal are those who want to register their marriage. The people whose maximum number has been recorded among the people who have registered include those who are announcing their marriage and their will. From the implementation of UCC on 27 January till 12 February, 1006 people have registered their marriage on the portal of Uniform Civil Code. That is, more than 65 people are registering their marriage every day.
The Uttarakhand government had launched the UCC portal for the public during a big program on 27 January. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has been the first person to get his marriage registered on the UCC portal. Hence, after this people are getting registered daily. The good thing is that till now this portal has been used the most for marriage registration. Whereas no one has registered their presence on the portal regarding a topic like divorce.
People in live-in relationships also started registering: Under the provisions given in the portal regarding live-in relationships, three people have got themselves registered. However, the government has been saying earlier that the complete information of such people will be kept confidential and no information of the person registering on the portal or any other person will be shared with another person. Apart from this, 13 people have also registered the heir of their property in the portal so far. Through the portal, they have made it clear who will be the heir of all their property.
CM said-UCC is for the convenience of the people
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami is also very happy with this continuously increasing number. He says, Even though people are opposing the Uniform Civil Code earlier, they will now slowly understand how important it is for the state. We have not brought this law against anyone or to harass anyone. Rather, this law is for the convenience of the people. We are constantly appealing to the people to get complete information on this subject as soon as possible. For this, our department is also constantly going among the people.
