Apoorva Makhija’s name removed from IIFA ambassador list, decision taken after indecent comment

Social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, popularly known as ‘Rebel Kid’, is constantly in the headlines these days due to the show ‘India’s Got Talent’. After the controversial things said by her in this show, she is constantly facing criticism on social media.

Apoorva’s name removed from IIFA

Meanwhile, she has suffered another big setback. Her name has been removed from the list of official ambassadors of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards ceremony to be held in Jaipur next month. This step has been taken after the indecent remarks made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia and Apoorva in an episode of Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’.

An official release issued by the office of Rajasthan Tourism Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said, “IIFA has said that the name of social media influencer Apoorva Makhija has been removed from the list of IIFA ambassadors. She is no longer officially part of the list of IIFA ambassadors.” Let us tell you that recently Karni Sena had threatened to stop Apoorva’s shooting in Udaipur, which was scheduled later this month.

When will the IIFA ceremony be held?

The IIFA ceremony is scheduled to be held in Jaipur on March 8 and 9, which will be organized by IIFA under the supervision of Rajasthan Tourism Ministry. Earlier Apoorva was appointed as the ambassador for this ceremony.
