A video has surfaced from Udham Singh Nagar, in the video a policeman is seen scuffling with a person. It is being told that the policeman was drunk. SSP Manikant Mishra has taken cognizance of the video. After which the SSP has suspended the policeman seen in the video. Also, the person who scuffled with the policeman, who is said to be a BJP leader, has also been arrested.

The video is said to be from Transit Camp police station area. According to the police, Head Constable Harveer Singh is posted in the police line. He was absent from duty for some days. On the afternoon of 14 February, Harveer Singh had gone to Ataria Road. It is alleged that during this time, drunk Head Constable Harveer Singh snatched a person’s phone. The person informed BJP leader Radhesh Sharma about the matter. After which Radhesh Sharma also reached the spot with his supporters.

Meanwhile, an argument broke out between Head Constable Harveer Singh and Radhesh Sharma, which soon turned into a scuffle. There was a fierce fight between the two. SSP Manikant Mishra has taken cognizance of the matter after the video went viral.

What did the SSP say?

SSP Manikant Mishra said that on February 14, there was a fight between head constable Harveer Singh and former BJP councilor Radhesh Sharma. Taking immediate cognizance of the matter, head constable Harveer Singh, who was found consuming alcohol at the time of the incident, has been immediately suspended. At the same time, a case was registered against Radhesh Sharma and others involved in the scuffle and they were arrested. The entire case is related to Transit Camp police station.
