Uttarakhand: ‘Leaders above 70 should leave the way for others, pay off the party’s debt’, said Congress State General Secretary

The tongue of the Congress party leaders who are making baseless statements among themselves is not being controlled. Party state president Karan Mahara has issued a letter to all the leaders requesting them to put their point only in the party forum. Now the Congress party’s state general secretary Rajendra Shah has advised the Congress leaders above 70 years of age to leave the path. So that the leaders above 60 can get political opportunities.
Congress state general secretary Rajendra Shah said that there are people in politics whose political career is not long but these people are continuously struggling for the last two, two and a half decades. They are not getting a chance to move forward. He said that the top leadership and the state leadership will have to think about why such statements are being made among the Congress leaders? He said that if the statements are being made in the interest of the Congress party, then he has no objection. He said that the organization should show seriousness to stop the leaders making statements against each other, and should sit and discuss with them.
Expressing displeasure, Rajendra Shah said that no review is ever done after any election is completed. He said that there are some leaders in the Congress party who were demanding tickets in the 2002 assembly elections. They were also demanding tickets in 2022. But they have not got a chance to contest elections till now. Therefore, the leaders of the Congress party who have crossed the age of 70 should open the way for the leaders who have crossed 60. Rajendra Shah believes that Congress has been working for a long time to promote the second leadership. Now the leaders also have time to repay the debt of the party.
