Uttarakhand: Preparations are being made to give service medals in the forest on the lines of the police, these works will also be approved

On the lines of police, Seva Medal Samman can be started in the forest department as well. The officers of Indian Forest Service have talked to the departmental minister on this matter. After which the Forest Minister has said that Seva Medal Samman will soon be started in the forest department as well. Apart from this, IFS officers also put their point in front of the minister on some other issues.

It is worth noting that Seva Medal Samman is also going to be started in Uttarakhand Forest Department. When the officers of Indian Forest Service put this matter in front of the departmental minister, he also took it positively and assured to start it soon. Actually, like the police department in the state, there is a lobbying to give Governor and President Medals to the officers and personnel of the forest department as well. Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal said that just as the police department and other forces are honored with President and Governor awards.

Similarly, there is a need to give Seva Medal Samman to those who do better work in the forest department as well. The Forest Minister said that soon efforts will be made at the government level for this so that forest personnel can be honored. The forest department works day and night in the forests to protect the forests and to prevent forest fires and to protect wildlife. In such a situation, it is important to honor these protectors of the environment. The government is going to seriously consider all the points put forward by the Indian Forest Service officers.

Just like there is a police line in the police department, the construction of a forest line is also being considered on the same lines. However, this matter has been kept within the forest department for a long time. But now the Forest Minister has approved the proposal of the forest line and has assured to build it in the state. Forest lines will be built in both Garhwal and Kumaon divisions in the state. It will have accommodation for the family members of the field workers.

In the state, field workers also live in forest posts under the forest department and such forest workers are not given HRA i.e. House Rent Allowance. But now there is going to be a provision to give HRA to such forest workers, for this, after taking financial permission, the forest workers living in the forest posts will also be able to get the benefit of HRA.
