The case is of Kushinagar’s Madni Masjid
A part of Madni Masjid in Kushinagar was demolished by bulldozer earlier this month. Bulldozer action was taken on 9 February
Bulldozer action was taken against Kushinagar’s Madni Masjid on 9 February. The administration demolished the illegal parts of Madni Masjid. There was a lot of uproar over this incident and the opposition targeted the Yogi government fiercely.
The order to demolish the mosque was given by the Municipal Executive Engineer Meenu Singh. Congress State President Ajay Rai alleged that mutual animosity is being spread in the state at the behest of CM Yogi Adityanath.
Ajay Rai said that first Bahraich, then Sambhal and after that the work of running bulldozers on Kushinagar’s Madni Masjid was done to fulfill the same intention. As soon as the High Court’s stay order ended on February 8, the administration got the bulldozer run the next day on Sunday, a holiday.
