Budget session begins in Uttarakhand with Governor’s address, MLAs ask 521 questions

The budget session of Uttarakhand has started from today. The budget session started with the address of Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (retd). In the budget session, the opposition will try to corner the government on land laws, domicile, law and order and the problem of farmers. At the same time, this time the budget session will be completely paperless.
CM Dhami will inaugurate e-Neva
It is worth noting that during the budget session, legislative work and state policies can be discussed. While on the one hand the budget of various departments will be presented by the government, on the other hand the opposition will also raise questions. To which the government will have to answer. This time the budget session will be conducted for the first time under e-Neva (National e-Vidhan Application).
Tabs installed in front of ministers, MLAs
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami will inaugurate it before the budget session begins. Tabs have been installed on the tables of all ministers, MLAs. Agenda, Q&A, Governor’s address and budget will be made available digitally in the tabs installed in front of ministers and MLAs. This step has been taken towards making the assembly paperless. At the same time, MLAs have raised 521 questions in the budget session. While more than half a dozen bills will be introduced.
The budget will start with the Governor’s address
Today at 11 am, Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd) will address. After which the address text will be read at 3 pm. The Governor’s address will be discussed on 19 February 2025. On 20 February 2025 at 12:30 pm, the budget of income and expenditure for the financial year 2025-26 will be presented. After which there will be a detailed discussion on the general and departmental budget in the House.
Police took command of security
2 Additional Superintendents of Police, 6 Circle Officers have been appointed for the assembly session. 65 sub-inspectors, 20 women sub-inspectors, 50 additional sub-inspectors, 26 head constables, 215 constables, 80 more women constables have been deployed. 6 Additional Sub Inspectors, 189 Head Constables, 40 Head Constable Armed Police, one QRT team have been deployed from the Police Line.
11 Inspectors, 10 Sub Inspectors, 15 Lady Sub Inspectors, 15 Head Constables, 30 Constables and 30 Lady Constables have been deployed from the Police Office. 3 Additional Superintendents of Police, 7 Circle Officers, 3 Inspectors, 20 Sub Inspectors, 3 Lady Sub Inspectors, 22 Additional Sub Inspectors and 12 Lady Constables have been deployed from outside districts. 2 companies of PAC have also been deployed.
