In Almora, the officials and members of the association staged a sit-in protest at the Forest Department office demanding their demands. The members of the association say that the responsibility of protecting the forests from fire lies with the forest guards, so it is not appropriate to ignore their demands. The protesters are demanding to re-implement the 2016 regulations and put a star on the shoulders of the forest guards.

Warning for fierce agitation

Due to the strike in the Forest Department, there may be problems in dealing with incidents of forest fires. The protesters say that the agitation will continue until their demands are met. Deputy Forest Conservator Deepak Singh says that the fire season is being affected by the strike of forest workers. The higher officials have been informed about the matter. Also, the employees have been requested to end the strike.
