Big sin in Maha Kumbh! Photos of girls bathing are being sold on Telegram

During Maha Kumbh, lakhs of devotees reach for holy bath in Ganga. But during this time, reports of violation of women’s privacy are also coming to the fore. On many social media platforms and Telegram channels, obscene pictures and videos of women bathing and changing clothes are going viral, which are not only hurting their dignity but are also causing a serious threat to the society.

Posting videos and pictures of women bathing or changing clothes

Some social media pages and Telegram channels are posting videos and pictures of women bathing or changing clothes. These videos have been made specifically during Maha Kumbh and it is being claimed that these videos are related to Maha Kumbh, while many of these videos are old and not related to Prayagraj Maha Kumbh. In some videos, women are bathing on the river bank. Which have been recorded without their full permission. These videos are being shared on Facebook pages promoting other pornographic content, where captions like ‘Mahakumbh Ganga Snan Prayagraj’ are applied.

Women’s private moments are being sold

Money is also being charged for accessing these channels. Which ranges from ₹1999 to ₹3000. This is clearly a violation of women’s privacy and it is an attempt to sell private and sensitive content in a wrong way. It is a serious issue that obscene material of women is being traded during a religious event. Police and other concerned authorities should take immediate steps to stop this type of fraud.
