Uttarakhand: PM Modi’s proposed visit to Mukhaba, administration speeds up preparations
Taking the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Harshil-Mukhba as a very important and historic occasion to promote winter tourism in Uttarakhand, preparations are being made to organize this visit in a grand manner. For which the government-administration is speeding up the preparations and finalizing the proposed programs and arrangements.
In this connection, on Tuesday, Secretary Chief Minister and Commissioner Garhwal Division Vinay Shankar Pandey, Secretary Protocol Vinod Kumar Suman, IG Garhwal Division Rajiv Swaroop closely reviewed all the preparations going on from Harshil to Mukhaba village. Also, discussions were held regarding finalizing all the arrangements for this visit.
On February 18, Divisional Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey expected to ensure all the arrangements for the minute-to-minute program from the welcome of the Prime Minister to his departure by keeping in mind the prescribed protocol and security standards. He said that the arrangements being made for the visit of the Prime Minister should be grand and error-free and all the work should be completed on time. During the discussion on the proposed programs, it was decided to include programs promoting the cultural traditions and tourism of this region in this important event.
On this occasion, several decisions were taken by discussing the darshan-pujan of Ganga temple in Mukhaba and live broadcast of the proposed program in Harshil through Doordarshan and arrangements for media personnel. During the inspection of various arrangements of the program venue in Harshil, discussions were held regarding the seating plan, traffic management and parking arrangements, electricity and drinking water supply as well as keeping the toilet and cleanliness system in order. Important decisions were also taken by discussing the layout plan and other arrangements of the exhibition based on local products and crafts of Uttarakhand.
At the same time, Secretary Protocol Vinod Kumar Suman discussed in detail with the officials regarding the observance of the protocol set for the Prime Minister’s program and the arrangements set in the bluebook. He said that on the arrival of the Prime Minister, special attention should be paid to ensuring compliance of the prescribed procedure and standards in all the arrangements from the helipad to Mukhaba and Harshil.
He suggested to change the seating plan to accommodate more people at the event venue in Harshil. Along with this, IG Rajiv Swaroop took stock of the security arrangements and discussed with the officials regarding security arrangements, movement and traffic plan, parking arrangements. He said that appropriate arrangements for entry and exit should be made at the event venue in Harshil. During this, Superintendent of Police Sarita Dobal gave information about the preparations being made for security arrangements.
