Uttarakhand / Tehri: Leopard attacked a woman in broad daylight, condition critical
A leopard attacked a woman who had gone to cut grass near Lambgaon in Tehri. The woman was badly injured in the leopard attack. The woman has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. There is an atmosphere of panic among the villagers after the incident.

The incident is said to have happened on Wednesday afternoon. According to the information, Meena Devi (55), wife of Madan Singh Panwar, resident of Baansadi, had gone to Majiyali Tok with the women of the neighborhood to cut grass. During this, a leopard lying in wait near the hill attacked Meena Devi fatally. Hearing the woman’s scream, other women noticed Meena Devi. The women made noise and somehow saved Meena Devi from the clutches of the leopard.
An atmosphere of panic among the villagers
There was also a police station near the hill. The women ran to the police station and asked for help from the police. After which the injured woman was rushed to CHC Chand. Seeing the serious condition of the woman, the doctors referred her to a higher center after first aid. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the forest department team reached the hospital to know the condition of the woman. There is an atmosphere of panic in the village after the incident. A patrolling team has been deployed around the incident spot to catch the leopard.
