IND vs BAN: Mohammed Shami hits a ‘double century’ in ODI, creates history

India’s best bowler Mohammed Shami created history in the Champions Trophy 2025. In the match against Bangladesh, Mohammed Shami completed 200 ODI wickets. He completed his 200th ODI wicket by taking the wicket of Bangladesh’s Jaker Ali.
Mohammed Shami has become the second bowler in the ODI format to do so. Mitchell Starc is at the first place in the list of fastest 200 wicket takers.
Mohammed Shami hit a ‘double century’ in ODI
The first match of the Champions Trophy is Mohammed Shami’s 104th ODI match. Mohammed Shami took a wicket in the very first over. He took the wicket of Soumya Sarkar on a score of zero. After which he took the wicket of Mehndi Hasan in the powerplay. After which on the fourth ball of the 43rd over, Shami took the wicket of Jaker Ali and completed 200 wickets in ODI. He achieved this feat in 104 matches.
8th Indian bowler to take 200 wickets
Shami is the eighth bowler in the list of highest wicket takers in ODIs for India. Anil Kumble tops this list with 337 wickets in 271 matches.
