Uttarakhand: 17th Agricultural Science Congress begins, inaugurated by the Governor, scientists from many countries gather

The 17th Agricultural Science Congress 2025 was inaugurated by Governor Gurmeet Singh at the Agricultural University today. During this, Director General ICAR Delhi Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Dr. Wazir Singh Lakra, Secretary NAS Delhi, along with scientists, researchers, students and farmers from India and abroad were present. In the three-day Krishi Maha Kumbh, 10 different themes, 20 sessions, 15 panel discussions and seven symbiosis will be discussed on different points.

Governor Lieutenant General (Retd) Gurmeet Singh inaugurated the 17th Agricultural Science Congress at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology for three days. During this, he said that it is a matter of pride that agricultural science in the interest of farmers is being held for the first time in Pantnagar Agricultural University. Such a large number of scientists, researchers, students etc. from India and abroad are present.

He said that Maha Kumbh is going on in Prayagraj, Krishi Kumbh is going on here too, the difference is that there will be a discussion on what we should do for Mother India. A production revolution has to be brought in the country. For this, there will be a discussion on science and technology. The scientists here are taking a resolution on how they will work to make the country developed. ICAR Director General Himanshu Pathak said that in this Congress, there will be a discussion on how to increase production through increasing population, pollution and modern farming. Along with this, how to face challenges in the future etc. are the main topics.
