The issue of corruption echoed in the Uttarakhand assembly session, the opposition surrounded the Dhami government

Today is the fourth day of the Uttarakhand Assembly session. On the fourth day, the opposition tried to corner the ruling party on the issue of corruption under Rule 58 in the House. Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya openly cornered the Dhami government on the issue of corruption. Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said corruption is rampant everywhere in the state. He said officers are being imported from outside Uttarakhand to the departments. Illegal mining is going on in full swing in the state. He said a mega scam took place in the Horticulture Department. This has also been proved in the CBI investigation.
Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said the then director played a big role in the mega scam in the Horticulture Department. Contracts were allotted in Jamrani and Soug ignoring the rules. An officer rented out 142 acres of land of the Tourism Development Council in the hill station Mussoorie for Rs 1 crore annually. Who gave this right to the government and the officials? He said that a loan of Rs 23 crore was taken from the Asian Bank and it was leveled. After that it was distributed to the favourites.
Deputy Leader of Opposition Bhuvan Kapri also cornered the government. He said that the government has set new records of corruption. On one hand, the government is running a campaign against illegal construction with bulldozers, on the other hand, it is allocating land to its favourites at cheap rates. He said that the government gives clean chit to those who commit NH scam in the state. Corruption is being done on a large scale through outsourcing. In which companies are running away after paying 6 months’ salary. After this, the youth are wandering for their salary. Bhuvan Kapri also mentioned the digital board scam. He said that the government has committed a big scam by purchasing digital boards whose cost is 1 lakh for Rs 2.5 lakh each. Which should be investigated.
Congress MLA Sumit Hridayesh also cornered the government on the issue of corruption. Sumit Hridayesh said that there is not a BJP government in Uttarakhand but a private limited company. One year old batch of liquor cannot be sold on contract, but under the government’s rule, even five year old batch of liquor is being sold on contract. He said that PPP mode is the biggest curse in Uttarakhand. He said that first percentage is taken for appointment, then appointment is given. Congress MLA Ravi Bahadur also spoke in the House on the issue of corruption. He said that the spirits of mining mafia are high on a large scale in Haridwar. So far many deaths have occurred due to mining in Jwalapur assembly. Open permission is being given for mining by issuing royalty in different ways. 20-20 tenders are being given to one person. Due to which the work is not completed on time.
