Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Electricity wires stolen from a house under construction, police reached the accused with the help of CCTV

Police have arrested two drug addicts who stole electric wires from a house under construction in Nehru Colony police station area of Dehradun. Police have recovered bundles of stolen wires by taking action on the basis of CCTV footage and information from an informer. The accused used to steal to fulfill their drug addiction and were trying to sell the wires to a junk dealer.

On February 18, Mahesh Chand Binjola, resident of Mothrowala, filed a complaint regarding the matter. In which he told that unknown persons have stolen electric wires and bundles of electric wires from his under construction house. On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case and started searching for the unknown accused.
Police arrested the accused
The police searched the CCTV footage installed around the incident spot and on the roads leading to and from the spot. On the information of the informer, the police team arrested two accused from Thandi Sadak near Bhandari Chowk who had stolen electric wires from a house under construction to fulfill their drug addiction. The accused were identified as Prince Verma, resident of Deepnagar and Chhotu Diwakar, resident of Deepnagar.
