Uttarakhand: Instructions to give priority to data security on UCC portal, registration process will be expedited

The Dhami government has been trying to give a message to the general public on the Uniform Civil Code in the state. During this, the officials have also been given the responsibility to monitor the UCC portal. While streamlining this entire system through the portal, it is also being reviewed. In this episode, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan also reviewed it and issued necessary guidelines on various points.

Keeping the Uniform Civil Code portal technically better is a big challenge and in this matter, ITDA also has a direct responsibility on it. Especially the work of data security related to it is most important. Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has given guidelines to the concerned officials in this matter and asked them not to take any kind of laxity on data security. Not only this, any kind of technical issue on the portal has also been asked to be resolved as soon as possible.

Marriage and other registrations in the state have been asked to be expedited with a targeted approach. In this, all the government employees from the secretariat to the district level have been instructed to compulsorily organize camps and run campaigns for marriage registration. During this, the District Magistrates have been instructed to play an active role in the promotion and awareness of UCC by the prosecution officers in the districts.

The Additional Chief Secretary has instructed the ITDA to immediately provide the confirmation of the registration process to those applying on the portal through SMS and WhatsApp.
