Uttarakhand / Khanpur: MLA demanded regularization of UPNL employees, protested with posters

On the fourth day of the budget session, independent MLA Umesh Kumar reached the assembly and surrounded the government on the demand of regularization of Upanal employees. Khanpur MLA demonstrated outside the assembly with a poster of ‘Do justice to 22000 Upanal families of Uttarakhand’.
Umesh Kumar demanded regularization of Upanal employees
Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar said that Upanal employees are treated as if they are people from another planet or another state. Upanal employees are wandering around in Uttarakhand since 2018. The MLA said that the High Court gave a decision in favor of Upanal employees. Against which the state government went to the Supreme Court. But the Supreme Court refused to interfere in the matter.
Warned of demonstration if demands are not met
The MLA said that file a review but now it is going to be a year since the review was filed. The government could not take any decision on the regularization of the employees and neither are they getting salary. On the contrary, they are also having to pay GST. The MLA said that the government should withdraw the review petition and regularize the Upanal employees. He warned of protests if the demands are not met.
