Today, the Pushkar Singh Dhami government has presented the fourth budget of its second term in the Assembly located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Finance Minister Premchand Agarwal presented a budget of Rs 1,01,175.33 crore (1 lakh 1 thousand 175 crores) for the financial year 2025-26. The Finance Minister said that the budget of Uttarakhand is based on seven points. Paying tribute to the martyrs, Premchand Agarwal presented the budget. He said that this year the state is moving forward as its silver jubilee year. Before presenting the budget, the achievements of the 38th National Games were told.
In the budget, a provision of 500 crores has been made under the Mega Project Scheme, 625 crores for Jamrani Dam, 75 crores for Song Dam, 285 crores for Lakhwar. A budget of 1500 crores has been kept under special capital assistance for the states, 1843 crores for Jal Jeevan Mission, 100 crores for city drinking water. The Finance Minister said that our government has shown the path of reform and development in every budget.
The opposition called the budget a bundle of lies
The opposition has given a sharp reaction to the budget of the Dhami government. Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya has called the budget of the Dhami government a bundle of lies. Yashpal Arya said that the budget is like a new sherbet in an old bottle. Yashpal Arya has said that this is a budget full of jugglery of figures. Basic basic needs have not been taken care of in this budget. The Dhami government has shown baseless schemes in the budget.
